The Glass and Glazing Federation
The Glass and Glazing Federation is the UK’s
leading authority and campaigner for companies involved
in home improvements, glazing, flat glass, plastics
and applied window film industries.
As well as supporting, advising and representing members
in more than 1,000 business locations, it also sets
a strict Code of Good Practice for members so that
the familiar GGF logo also stands as a mark of quality
assurance that its members can display with pride.
Among our membership can be found professionals is all sectors of the industry including windows, doors, conservatories, flat glass, glazing components, specialist glazing (i.e. fire resistant, toughened, insulated, laminated curved etc.) extrusion, hardware and glass merchanting.
To the consumer
As well as the Code of Good Practice and the standards
set in the GGF Glazing Manual, the GGF also subjects
every prospective member to a vetting process, including
a site visit of the company’s premises, inspection
of the last three years’ accounts and taking
up of references.

Deposit Indemnity
All deposits paid to GGF members are protected by the
GGF’s Deposit Indemnity Scheme, which covers
up to £3,000 or 25% of the contract price,
whichever is the lesser.

The GGF Free Conciliation Service
What happens if the worst comes to the worst and you
and a GGF member company have a disagreement that
you cannot sort out between yourselves? The GGF offers
a free Conciliation Service under the auspices of
the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.
However, it must be understood that the GGF cannot
offer this service if litigation is in use or threatened
and cannot assist on the issue of compensation.
