Energy Saving Calculator
This is the Energy Saving Calculator, developed by the GGF.
It is a simple tool that allows homeowners to find out how much they can save on their energy bills and by how much they can reduce their carbon footprint through the installation of Energy Efficient Windows. It also tells homeowners how much more they could save by installing the highest rated Energy Efficient Windows (rated 'A') over others levels ('B' to 'G').
Just input the type of windows you currently have, the kind of property you live in, the approximate size of windows you are looking to replace, the type of fuel you use and the rating of Energy Efficient Windows you will have installed. The Energy Saving Calculator will then calculate the annual savings you will make and also give you the total savings made over a period of years. It will also provide total amounts C02 and Carbon saved.
Energy Efficient Windows are rated 'A' to 'G' with 'A' being the most energy efficient. All Energy Efficient Windows come with a 'rainbow' label very like those found on washing machines, fridges and dishwashers. These labels are issued by the British Fenestration Ratings Council (BFRC) to allow homeowners to make an informed purchase. For more information on Energy Efficient Windows, the 'A' to 'G' ratings and the BFRC please visit the website – www.bfrc.org
The Energy Saving Calculator was developed by the GGF in conjunction with government and the Energy Savings Trust (EST). Its calculations have been verified by the EST.
